Special Designated Licenses

Overview

A Special Designated License (SDL) is required for the sale or consumption of alcoholic liquor at a designated location within the city limits for a special event. SDLs may be issued by the Nebraska Liquor Control Commission after approval by the City Council.

The Liquor Control Commission implemented a new Special Designated License (SDL) On-Line System for processing applications. The SDL applicant will need to register with the Liquor Commission. After that have registered initially, they will be set up in the system for all future online applications.

All Non-Profit Organizations will need to register with the Liquor Control Commission prior to applying for the new SDL Online System.

All applications for a special designated license, with local governing body approval and proper fees, must be received by the Nebraska Liquor Control Commission at least 10 working days prior to the event. Applications not received at least 10 workings days prior to the event will not be processed.

If applicable, forms for outdoor areas or Non-Profits that would also need to be submitted with the Recommendation Form are provided below.
