The Citizens Advisory Review Committee (CARC) is composed of five members who are resident taxpayers of the city. The members are appointed by the Mayor, with the approval of the City Council. At least one member of the CARC must have expertise or experience in the field of business finance and accounting. The CARC Committee reviews and make recommendations to the City Council regarding all LB840 Economic Development and CDBG Reuse Loan Fund projects.
Meetings
The CARC meets semi-annually in April and October. The CARC also meets on an as needed basis to review projects. Meetings are held at City Hall, 400 Ella Street, Beatrice, Nebraska 68310. The CARC also provides semi-annual reports to the City Council to provide updates on the status of the LB840 and CDBG projects.
