The Beatrice Area Solid Waste Agency (BASWA) Board is made up of the Mayor, 8 Council Members, and 2 Gage County Board of Supervisor Members.

The Board of Appeals hear and decide appeals of orders, decisions, or determinations made by the Building Official regarding the application or interpretation of the building codes. 

The Board of Examination of Plumbers review and make recommendations to the City Council regarding the sanitary construction, alteration, and inspection of plumbing and sewerage connections and drains within the City.

The Board of Health makes regulations to prevent the introduction and spread of contagious, infectious, or malignant diseases into the City.  The Board consists of 5 members who are appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the City Council.
