New Fire Station

In November of 2018, voters approved an additional half-cent local sales tax to help finance a new fire station for Beatrice Fire and Rescue. The new station replaced the cramped quarters the department has used in the lower level of the historical Beatrice Municipal Auditorium since 1965.

The station features larger fire vehicle bays, along with a wash bay, firefighter living quarters, kitchen facilities, offices, a training tower, and meeting space. It is a two-level structure. The interior has been designed to aid in quick response to emergencies.

The exterior is a brick façade, natural stone with precast concrete, and a metal roof. The construction of the fire station lasted approximately 18 months.
