Exhibit Inquiry

The Beatrice Public Library hosts changing art exhibits in the Vette Cultural Arts Center in the lower level of the Library. The Library Director, Joanne Neemann, and a volunteer Art Committee work together to review exhibit inquiries on an ongoing basis. To inquire about exhibiting your work, please follow the submission guidelines below.

To be considered for an art exhibit:

Complete the Exhibit Inquiry Form below. Note that all exhibited work must be suitable for patrons of all ages.

If your work has support from the Art Committee, the Library Director or a member of the committee will contact you. You will then be given available dates and asked to sign an Exhibition Agreement, which will commit you to the agreed-upon dates and terms.

Please note:

• Preference will be given to Beatrice artists and those with ties to the Gage County community.
• The Library schedules its exhibits about a year in advance.

If you exhibit proposal is accepted:

Duration of exhibits: Exhibits generally run for four weeks. The length of the exhibits determined by the Art Committee.

Installation: The exhibitor will be responsible for the installation and removal of the artwork.

Insurance: The Library does not carry separate insurance for exhibited artwork, and is not responsible for any damage to, or theft of, the artworks during the exhibition.

Publicity: The Library provides publicity for exhibits in its regular newsletter, website, and social media to the public for exhibits. The Library does not create postcards for exhibitors but will allow artists to do this, provided their draft card is approved by the Library Director.
