Street Obstruction Request

Approval from the City Engineer and Community Development Director is required prior to placing anything upon a street, alley, sidewalk, or public right-of-way. If the object is placed in such as way as to not impede or obstruct normal vehicle and pedestrian traffic (such as a roll-off dumpster placed in a parking lane), you must complete a Street Obstruction Not Impeding Traffic request.

There are two (2) ways you may request approval of a Street Obstruction:

  1. Download the pdf document below, print and drop off your completed form to the Community Development Office, 201 N. 4th Street; or
  2. Complete the web form below.

Please submit your request at least one (1) business day prior to the date you would like to place a Street Obstruction.

Start Date of Obstruction
End Date of Obstruction

I understand that the above-listed obstruction may not impede normal pedestrian and/or vehicle traffic in any way. Should the obstruction impede normal pedestrian and/or vehicle traffic in any way, the completion of a Street Closure Request form is required to obtain approval from the City Administrator, Fire Chief, Chief of Police, and Street Superintendent.
