Beatrice S.W.A.T. Team

The Beatrice S.W.A.T. (Special Weapons and Tactics) Team is a unit formed in the mid 1980's to respond to high-risk incidents.  The Beatrice S.W.A.T. Team is made up of personnel from the Beatrice Police Department and Beatrice Fire and Rescue.  For more information, see Beatrice S.W.A.T. Team.

 

Criminal Investigations Unit

The Criminal Investigations Unit was established in February 1993 and is commanded by the Police Lieutenant.  The Criminal Investigations Unit is responsible for the investigation of cases involving a special subject matter, cases that are more complicated, and cases of a more time consuming nature.  For more information, see Criminal Investigations Unit.

 

Gage County Victim Assistance Program

The Gage County Victim Assistance Program has been in existence since 1995.  For more information, see Gage County Victim Assistance Program.

 

K-9 Division

In March 2010, the Beatrice Police Department was able to restart the K-9 division with generous donations from the public.  For more information, see K-9 Division.

 

School Resource Officer (SRO) Program

The goal of the School Resource Office (SRO) position is to bridge the gap between students, schools, and police by becoming a liaison when problems arise.  For more infomation, see School Resource Officer (SRO) Program.
