The City of Beatrice is currently accepting application for Firefighter/EMT or Firefighter/Paramedic for the City of Beatrice, Nebraska Fire/Rescue Service.  Applications will be received at the Beatrice Fire Department, 310 Ella Street; City Clerk’s Office, 400 Ella Street, Beatrice, Nebraska 68310; and online through April 14, 2014 at 4:00 p.m.  Written Examinations will be given at 1:00 p.m. on April 24, 2014, at the Beatrice Fire Department's training room, followed by a physical agility testing.  Oral examinations will begin for selected applicants at 7:00 p.m.  Applicants must have a valid driver’s license.


Base pay is $12.15/hour, based upon a 2,920 hour work year.  Paramedic pay is an additional $1.50/hour.  Health insurance is provided by employer.  State of Nebraska Firefighter retirement plan.
