Keep Beatrice Beautiful 2012
April 16th through April 20th is being designated as Keep Beatrice Beautiful City-Wide Cleanup Week. The City of Beatrice and the Keep Beatrice Beautiful are sponsoring this annual cleanup period. The Board of Public Works Street Department will provide large item pick-up and specific areas throughout the city during the Monday to Friday schedule as shown below.

Limited to residential properties only, not for commercial. One truck load per residence. Curb-side pick up only - no alley pick up. For large heavy items only, i.e., furniture, stoves, refrigerators, water heaters, etc. No brush, logs, leaves, tree stumps, grass, garbage, tires, batteries, ashes, paint, chemicals, lumber, wood pallets, drywall, shingles, concrete blocks, gas cans or propane tanks. Trash/burn barrels must be empty. Must be able to visually determine what the item is - nothing bagged.
The procedure to be used, as in the past, is that residents are asked to call the Board of Public Works at 228-5211, prior to the day of pickup and list a specific address and identify the kind and type of items to be picked up. Items will be picked up only during those days specified for the specific area.

All items must be out at the curb by 7:00 A.M. on the scheduled day. |
